Neues Studienmodell und SPO Master Stadtplanung zum SS09
Zum Sommersemester 2009 startet das neue Studienmodell des Masters Stadtplanung. Als Ergebnis der Studentenevaluation und der Absolventenbefragung wurde die bewährte Studienstruktur weiterentwickelt. Der Einstieg in das Studium wurde verbessert, außerdem wurden neue Studieninhalte insbesondere zu Umweltplanung und Stadtökonomie ergänzt. Wichtigste Änderungen sind:
- Austausch der Studienschwerpunkte des ersten und zweiten Semesters
- Schwerpunkt Stadtentwicklungsplanung im 1. Semester
- Städtebauliche Vertiefungsfächer im 1. Semester für Studierende ohne städtebauliche Vorkenntnisse
- Schwerpunkt Städtebau im 2. Semester
- Schwerpunkt Stadterneuerung im 3. Semester
- Zusätzliche Fächer in Umweltplanung, Stadtökologie, Energieeffizienz, Stadtökonomie
- Mehr Vertiefungsmöglichkeiten über Wahlfächer (insgesamt 16 SWS)
Die neue Studien- und Prüfungsordnung und Zulassungssatzung wird Ende Januar veröffentlicht und tritt zum SS 2009 in Kraft.
Focuses
Special educational focuses are the integrated study projects, where practice-based and real planning tasks are examined, and theoretical fundamentals are combined with sectoral subjects. Core elements of the projects are urban planning, urban development and renewal, and spatial focuses are the quarter, the city and municipal region.
Complementing the projects, lecturers and seminars in fundamentals, theory and instruments of urban planning are offered as well as in sectoral subjects, such as sociology, traffic and landscape planning.
In the fourth semester [or the sixth during part-time studies] finishes with a 4-month Master thesis.
The curriculum is modular and integrates the European ECTS [European Credit Transfer System]. The programme was accredited internationally in the summer of 2004 complying with the requirements of ASAP.
